WRiTE CLUB is an annual writing tournament where ANYONE can submit 2 short stories of 500 words or less. A panel of professional writers/editors sort through them and pick the top 40 entries. Then, in a Round Robin set up, 2 entries are placed against each other and posted to the website daily. Readers are able to vote for their favorites in the comments section with commentary on why they chose it. It was really fun waiting to see if my stories would pop up (The top 40 aren't told they are in the top 40 you just have to keep checking. I realized the purpose of this is to keep people interested and coming back to vote.) The end prize was a ticket to the DFW Writers Conference! ($500 for the full weekend ticket!!!) I would LOVE to go to this conference, I even follow them on FB. However, last year my entries were not chosen, so I am posting them here. My two newest entries are still in the "RING" so I cannot post them here until the end of the contest.
